LOS ANGELES, Sept. 1, 2015 /Standard Newswire/ -- Whereas some Airbnb guests surprise their hosts by trashing the home, Airbnb patrons, Asela and Tamilla Palmer Perera have been surprised by the amount of emotional junk that guests are lugging into the house.

Citing herself as the best example, Tamilla who married for the first time after 40 says, "Since my twenties and thirties had been stolen by my boss who turned out to be an embezzler and a womanizer all the while I was as the office from 8 am to 9 pm everyday, I thought I had a right to speak badly about his weaknesses. I pitied myself because of the years I had lost when I could have been on dates. I didn't know that the way I was processing my struggles gave the universe power to delay my blessings."

According to the Palmer Pereras, the universe is a mind-perceiving, voice activated society and when it notices the words of our mouths or the thoughts of our hearts speaking out cursing instead of blessing, that's what it gives us. It's very important to cut off the preoccupation before depression sets in which according to the World Health Organization is two to four times more likely to lead to mental health issues, especially among singles.

Unlike its name suggests, 12secs.com is a home that stands for 12 Streams Encouragement Center. Prior to setting up the house, the Palmer-Pereras were living in Asia and getting ready to go through some extreme trials.

"Yes, we were hurting ourselves really badly," the couple said. "We were living on a Hong Kong island housed in a place that looked like a castle which had 5 pools. During that season we often looked at each other and said, 'we could never have it like this in the US because of the mortgage crisis.' Is there any doubt that when we returned to America our transition was hard because we had already cursed ourselves? Our thinking was so messed up that we found ourselves in a 24-hour fitness parking lot for several nights even though our family homes were within reach."

Through a job accident back in January that left Tamilla on temporary disability, the Palmer-Pereras were forced to slow down and take a look at why things were constantly going wrong.

"We finally figured out that there are universal laws that govern the blessings for relationships, finances, health and everything. Before that, we were trapped the same way that we see so many of our guests trapped. Basically though they expect blessings, they allow their minds to linger on poor thoughts, critical words, and thoughtless word choices which subtly hurt themselves," Tamilla said.
