MEDIA ADVISORY, July 22, 2013 /Standard Newswire/ -- International Christian singer, actor, and TV host Carman stars in the new movie, 'Final: The Rapture' opening in theaters September 2013.

Carman, who stunned thousands of people with news of his serious battle with a terminal cancer, stars in the upcoming, major Christian film that was shot in six countries.

"Carman is an incredible actor and person," says Tim Chey, the film's director. "He did the role amazingly well. We're all praying mightily for him. He's a wonderful friend and has a great love for Christ."

In what is becoming the scariest Christian movie of the decade, the movie, "Final: The Rapture" will open in select theaters in September 2013 starting in Houston and then on to LA, NY, Portland, Seattle, San Antonio, Nashville, and other cities.

In the movie, Carman's character, Frankie, holds the last ticket out of the country. In a marvelous monologue, he begins to explain the world's situation to the other lead character played by Jah Shams.

In one pivotal moment, Carman's character says,

"And they all wanted was a Christianity that didn't cost them anything. The Bible says pray, but it's easier to play. Gotta leave church early -- worried the roast is gonna burn... forget about the roast, YOU'RE gonna burn.

"Look at how bad things have gotten man. Look at the high school killings. They took Thou shall not kill off the walls because it might offend somebody. Now I'm sure they'd rather have offended kids, than dead kids. The doors they wouldn't let a Bible through are the same doors they put metal detectors on…"

Carman received worldwide media attention after he announced his battle with terminal cancer. But he's said it's been the greatest time of his life and brought him closer to God.

The film premiered to a standing-room only crowd at the new LA Live Regal Cinemas theater in downtown Los Angeles. The packed theater cheered in the end.

"Everyone loved Carman's scenes," says director Tim Chey. "He's an extremely gifted artist."

'Final: The Rapture' was filmed in six countries and took almost six months of shooting.

Breathtaking, gripping, layered, and astonishing, "Final: The Rapture" is a gritty, international tale of four separate stories woven together by a common theme: the Rapture.
