THE PROJECT:
Set Free is the debut indie film project for "Words with Wings Productions" written and directed by Patrice Wade Johnson and based on her first book Wisdom Seeds. It is a collaborative effort which was filmed in the East End communities of Pittsburgh by Michael Strathen (Art Institute of Pittsburgh) and featuring some of Pittsburgh's finest talent (actors, singers and musicians).

Patrice's first book Wisdom Seeds was released under "Words with Wings" in 2006 and her sophomore project, Lundyn Bridges was released in the spring of 2007. Her third book, Just One Last Dance, was released in December 2011. Patrice achieved another milestone when Lundyn Bridges came to life on the stage at the Kelly Strayhorn Theater. Her first screenplay, The Take Us (book by John Raymond Takacs), a collaborative effort, debuted at the Kelly Strayhorn Theater's 2010 Military Writers Society of America event.

Patrice Wade-Johnson, a noted educator, and emerging filmmaker with four plays, and two completed screenplays as evidence of her creative abilities will share with Pittsburgh and surrounding cities this dynamic film about forgiveness, brokenness, spiritual renewal and starting over.

The project has captured national attention of noted composer for "New York Undercover" Dunn Pearson and former music director/producer of the "O'Jays" from New York, and Executive film producer of "Iniquity the movie," Janice Hollis from Philadelphia, who will be in attendance along with a host of local officials and regional talent Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at the Waterworks Cinema 930 Freeport Road Pittsburgh, PA 15238 at 7:00 p.m.
