GRANTHAM, Penn., June 10, 2025 /Standard Newswire/ — The Messiah Conference, the world’s largest annual gathering of Messianic Jews and Israel-supporting Christians, gets underway in the U.S. this month as antisemitism surges across America and globally.
It comes in the wake of recent antisemitic attacks in Washington, DC, and Colorado, and amid ongoing protests over Israel’s war against Hamas terrorists in Gaza.
The seven-day event beginning June 29 will feature bestselling author Jonathan Cahn, journalist and influencer Hananya Naftali, and other speakers at Messiah University in Grantham, Pa.
“Antisemitism is surging across the world,” said Joel Chernoff, general secretary and CEO of the Messianic Jewish Alliance of America (MJAA), a sponsor of the conference, and the founder of Israel-based humanitarian aid organization Joseph Project International. “As followers of Yeshua (Jesus), we in the Messianic Jewish community must stand up against persecution of Jewish people everywhere,” Chernoff said. “This generation’s voice is critical at a time when so many college students in the U.S. are being brainwashed against Israel and the Jewish people.”
MJAA was founded in 1915.
Hunger, Poverty Grip Israel
Chernoff will highlight the work of Joseph Project International, a nonprofit organization delivering humanitarian aid to war-torn Israel as poverty there deepens.
Latest surveys show that 2.7 million Israelis — almost 30% of the population — live below the poverty line. Nearly 1.2 million — including more than 627,000 children — face hunger every day, with almost one million more on the edge of going hungry, according to Israeli nonprofit organization Latet.
“While media attention remains fixated on Gaza, the devastating hidden crisis in Israel grows more urgent by the day,” said Chernoff. “Many around the world see Israel as a prosperous, high-tech society, but the brutal financial toll of defending itself against constant terror attacks is fueling a humanitarian emergency, especially for children.”
For 25 years, Joseph Project International has been “a lifeline for Israel’s most vulnerable,” Chernoff said, “showing them the love of the God of Israel and the Messiah of Israel, Yeshua.”
To date, the organization and its established network has distributed more than $175 million in international aid supplies from its 16,000-square-foot warehouse in Israel. Aid arrives in giant shipping containers, funded by donors across the U.S. and globally.
The Messiah Conference, sponsored by the Messianic Jewish Alliance of America, the Young Messianic Jewish Alliance, and the International Alliance of Messianic Congregations and Synagogues, will host educational and worship sessions for Messianic leaders, young professionals, teens and children.
