SAN DIEGO, July 2, 2010 /Standard Newswire/ -- In continuation of recent developments surrounding a recent June 28th, press release by Sempra LNG, the company continues to conceal and misinform the public at large with regard to its legal issues impacting the closure of its Mexican LNG unit, "Energia Costa Azul."
Their press release is false and misleading. It is important to notate that their has NEVER been an Appellate Court ruling surrounding the issue of the closure of the facility, when the matter has never been fully argued by the parties and remains pending in a hearing which they admit in their release will not occur until July 6, 2010. Sempra, has never filed for an "appeal" but rather filed a "Grievance-Complaint" which translates into nothing but a disagreement with the Federal Courts "Provisional Suspension Order." In fact and more importantly this "Grievance-Complaint" does not even address or rule upon the underlying issue that Mr. Sanchez Ritchie, raised with the court but rather only collateral issues that assist in fully resolving specific issues that the court requires in order to make its findings.
The findings of the "Grievance-Complaint" filed by the Energia Costa Azul, provided 3 reasons why the court granted them time and incorporation of the following;
1. That the original order did not provide for the people living on the property;
2. A certified survey demonstrating the risk associated to the fencing of the property;
3. An environmental impact analysis demonstrating the risk and danger of the LNG plant.
"We are prepared to provide for each and every one of the courts requirements in accordance with Mexican and International regulations prior to making their findings whereby we will demonstrate the anomalies surrounding the issuance of these permits at the local, state and federal levels to Sempra's Mexican LNG unit. Further, Sempra LNG, and Energia Costa Azul, have commenced a campaign to attack the Federal Judge in the case in an attempt to discredit and place undue pressure upon him in local newspapers," said Sanchez Ritchie.
