ORLANDO, July 18, 2025 /Standard Newswire/ -- Grammy-winning vocalist Kaya Jones celebrates her spiritual journey from Pussycat Doll to gospel artist with a new Christian album and launch party this weekend.
This first Christian album, "The Royal Collection," reminds listeners Whose they are and how much they are loved. The project took shape during a difficult period when clinging to the Lord was her only option. Following Jesus and the scriptures sustained her, and will do the same for others, she says.
“Everything tells us we are not good enough. That’s a lie from the pit of hell,” Kaya says. “Remember how special he made you and never forget it, you’re perfect the way He made you.”
"The Royal Collection" boasts 15 tracks brimming with uplifting lyrics. But it also puts faith into action, with several songs linked to charity initiatives. "Treasured," released earlier this year, serves as the title track for a forthcoming docuseries advocating for thousands living in Ethiopia’s Korah landfill. Music videos for other songs have been released as non-fungible tokens (NFTs) benefitting homeless individuals in Orlando and humanitarian work in the Middle East.
One song benefitting charity, "Jerusalem" is noteworthy in its own right. Kaya lends her English refrain to the melodic prayer for peace, taken from Psalm 122. She joins Lebanese vocalist Carine Bassili singing in Arabic, and Shai Sol and Ronza Nwesry in Hebrew, crossing ethnic lines advocating for peace in the Holy City. In another project, Kaya joins rapper Bryson Gray in a fresh take on the classic song "Yeshua." Renowned Petra guitarist Kevin Brandow also makes an appearance on the album.
Fans interested in the livestream release party at noon Saturday should make sure they are following Kaya on socials. The event will pop up for fans following Kaya on Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and X, and feature stories behind the songs and special guests.
The faith-focused album follows Kaya’s smash entrance onto the religious music scene, where she earned a Grammy for her 2019 collaboration with gospel singer Jason Crabb. In addition to the album, Kaya recently launched a podcast, Blessed, on her Shiloah.tv streaming network.
