ENUMCLAW, Wash., March 9 /Standard Newswire/ -- A former business professional and CPA releases his first book through WinePress Publishing titled, "It's OK to Fail the Test -- As Long as You Learn the Lesson!" (WinePress 2010)

Diagnosed with cancer in 1997, David Craig was forced into early retirement and a return to values long since forsaken. As a cancer survivor, David writes and speaks about lessons learned in this classroom called life and the tests God uses to teach them.

"I finally came to understand this very simple, yet profound concept: Every test presented by God through life's circumstances always includes two invariables: 1) It is always 'multiple choice', and 2) It is always 'open book'."

Craig's book provides details of his twelve-year battle with cancer and his unwillingness to believe that "the doctor always know best" just because he's the doctor. In the midst of his suffering, he discovers that God can, and will use the painful events in our lives to establish relationship with him and reliance upon him.

"I discovered by 'listening' to God's word, the Bible, more closely that honest doubt and meaningful questions are actually a step toward faith, not an abandoning of it. Jesus never condemned people who doubted his willingness to heal them . . . God often wants us to trust him just because he asks us to. That's the essence of hope."

A graduate of Northwest University with undergraduate work at Seattle Pacific University, Craig is a public speaker and teacher. During and since the onset of cancer he has shared his testimony with clients, business associates, church groups, and cancer support groups in Washington, Oregon, California, Montana, and Arizona.

Craig has two married daughters, both living in the Seattle area. The youngest continues to operate the CPA firm he reluctantly left in 2006. He and his wife Carolyn now live in Arizona where he is part of a local men's ministry teaching team and a life group Bible teacher. His most current writing project is tentatively titled "I'm an Ordinary Man -- An Anthology of Spiritual Sound Bites."
