BOULDER, Colo., Sept. 13, 2023 /Standard Newswire/ -- Gloo, the leading technology platform dedicated to connecting the faith ecosystem and releasing its collective might, announced that it is launching a free online master class in evangelism created in partnership with the Luis Palau Association. Entitled "Engaging Culture: An Evangelism Master Class," the eight-part video series will instruct people step by step on how they can most effectively spread the good news of Jesus Christ by relating to what is currently happening in the culture. President of the Luis Palau Association Kevin Palau and missiologist Ed Stetzer host the series, and additional contributors include speakers and authors such as Christine Caine, Mark Mittelberg, Nona Jones, Greg Stier, Rebecca McLaughlin, and Andrew and Wendy Palau.
"'Engaging Culture: An Evangelism Master Class' is full of actionable training and timely cultural insights to equip today's Church," said Scott Beck, CEO of Gloo. "Following our approach of connecting the faith ecosystem, this course features a variety of voices who all share one passion: giving every Jesus follower the tools to share their faith in a way that resonates with today's culture."
The course is intended for both church leaders and Christians, offering practical content that offers steps that everyday believers can try right away. Episodes begin with a reflection on the life of Jesus, enabling the audience to view all the content through the prism of his life, so viewers can see exactly how Jesus put these teachings into practice. At the end of every episode, there is a conversation with an experienced ministry leader who has practiced evangelism in their personal life and successfully helped their congregation grow in their abilities and confidence to engage in evangelism.
According to Beck, the series invites viewers to have a clearer sense of how to winsomely engage others to take the next step on their spiritual journey.
"This course is unique because, in one series, multiple voices are adding their wisdom to a common goal of sharing Christ. It draws on the collective might of many experts who bring a diverse, but cohesive, vision to what sharing your faith looks like today. This supports the Gloo vision of releasing the passion in every person to be all they were born to be," he said.
The unprecedented video series is being distributed to more than 40,000 churches that have joined the free Gloo technology platform, along with many more churches served by the Luis Palau Association's work in City Gospel Movements across the United States.
"This master class offers incredible insights that are both theologically sound and culturally relevant, equipping individuals and churches to effectively engage with the world around them," commented Marc Estes, the senior pastor of Mannahouse in Portland, Oregon. "The materials and resources provided are not merely theoretical but are designed to empower church leaders and members with actionable strategies for evangelism and outreach. This approach has demonstrated proven fruit, as we have seen our own congregation grow in its ability to share the message of Jesus in a compelling and compassionate manner."
"This master class features an incredible lineup of teachers and facilitators that not only speak about evangelism but put it into action everywhere they go," said Ed Stetzer, dean of the Talbot School of Theology at Biola University and co-host of the master class. "We're confident that this master class will benefit churches of any size, helping staff teams, leaders and congregations learn to engage culture well and revitalize their evangelism efforts."
