WASHINGTON, Nov. 6, 2013 /Standard Newswire/ -- Congressman J. Randy Forbes (VA-04) issued the following statement, urging President Obama to intervene on behalf of Pastor Saeed Abedini, an American citizen who has been imprisoned in Iran because of his Christian faith:
- "It is deeply troubling to hear of Pastor Saeed Abedini's transfer as a political prisoner from Iran's Evin Prison to Rajai Shahr Prison -- a place typically reserved for perpetrators of the most violent of crimes. President Obama spoke to Iranian President Rouhani in September about Pastor Saeed's release.
