Cornerstone Television Network Announces New Leadership in its 40th Year, Names New Acting President/CEO and Chief Operating Officer

April 16, 2019

WALL, Penn., April 16, 2019 /Standard Newswire/ -- Cornerstone Television Network announces "new leaders, same mission" as it celebrates its 40th anniversary. "We are thrilled to introduce to you our new Acting President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Steve Johnson, along with our Chief Operating Officer (COO), Tom Hollis," says Board Chairman, Pastor Gary Mitrik. "These men have been an integral part of Cornerstone Television for many years," Pastor Gary continued, "and have hearts that beat with the vision of our founders, Russ and Norma Bixler. We are confident that God will do mighty things through their leadership in the days to come."

Steve Johnson first joined Cornerstone Network with a passion for Christian television back in 1985, beginning as an intern while attending California University of Pennsylvania. Through a variety of roles over the years — most recently as Vice President of Operations — he has personally learned the ins-and-outs of the ministry. When asked about his vision, Steve said, "We want to refocus on the calling of our founders, which simply is to broadcast the Gospel to lost and hurting people. When the Holy Spirit touches someone's heart, we want to be there with God's Word. Our desire is to be the best provider of Christian television possible and concentrate all our efforts on broadcasting the Good News of Jesus Christ."

Tom Hollis, an ordained minister, shares this same vision. He got his start with the ministry as the Telephone Ministry Coordinator in 1997 — and moved into roles as Program Director and Director of Outreach, where he served until being named COO.

These leadership announcements come as the television network celebrates its 40th anniversary, complete with a documentary, "The Promise Still Stands," airing Saturday, April 20, at 3 PM & 11 PM/ET (www.ctvn.org/watch). The special showcases the network's colorful history, the fearless faith of its founders, and the fascinating decade-long battle that launched a trailblazing station. (Hosted by Cornerstone Television President Steve Johnson and Board Member Paul Bixler. Produced by Dave Tucker.)
