The group is troubled the republican majority in the Senate has not defunded Planned Parenthood or moved legislation forward that will help end abortion.

Rev. Patrick Mahoney, Director of the Christian Defense Coalition, states:

"We will be gathering at the office of Senator McConnell to first pray the Senate defunds Planned Parenthood, the largest abortion provider in the world, and passes legislation that will help end the violence of abortion.

"We will also  be standing as a public witness calling for the republican majority to act on their pro-life commitment to end abortion.  The pro-life activist community has been profoundly troubled and disappointed that the Senate has done virtually nothing to stand with American's children and end the violence of abortion. Over the past year, all we have seen is broken promise after broken promise.

"The pro-life community also wants to send a very clear and powerful message.  The republican majority cannot expect our support in the midterm elections if they continue to abandon and mislead our movement on working to end abortion.  Republicans cannot call themselves pro-life if they continue to fund the largest abortion provider in the world and refuse to act on life saving legislation."
