CHESTER, Penn., Aug. 29, 2025 /Standard Newswire/ — Life Legal attorneys are representing three individuals who, along with three others, are facing criminal trespass charges following their participation in a Red Rose Rescue at Delaware County Women’s Center on July 31.
Red Rose Rescue is a form of peaceful witness that takes place inside abortion facilities. Rescuers quietly approach women scheduled for abortion, offering a red rose, a prayer card, and information about life-giving resources and support. Because of the clinic’s location, traditional sidewalk counseling was not possible. The only way to reach women scheduled for abortions was to enter the building and speak with them directly.
As a result of this outreach, the Rescuers were arrested and now face significant legal consequences. Despite these challenges, they remain committed to their belief that this form of civil disobedience is sometimes the only way to reach women in the critical moments before an irreversible decision is made.
The July rescue resulted in the clinic closing for the day. No abortions were committed, and mothers scheduled for abortions were provided an opportunity to choose life for their babies.
“These rescues embody what it means to ‘speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves’ (Proverbs 31:8),” said Alexandra Snyder, CEO of Life Legal. “The Rescuers acted with courage and compassion, offering women hope and alternatives to abortion. Without skilled legal defense, the state would silence these voices of mercy.”
Life Legal stands firm to ensure that those who protect the innocent are vigorously defended.
