NEW YORK, March 13 /Standard Newswire/ -- Columbia Business School is pleased to announce that Hermes, Columbia Business School's alumni magazine, won the Gold Prize in the 24th Annual Admissions Advertising Awards' Publication/Internal category. Columbia Ideas at Work, a publication that showcases Columbia Business School faculty research and insights, secured the Silver Prize in the same category.

The Admissions Advertising Awards, sponsored by the Higher Education Marketing Report, is the largest educational advertising awards competition in the United States. Entrants are judged on the quality, creativity and messaging of their respective publications or ad campaigns.

Nicola Fabens, executive director of communications at Columbia Business School commented, "We are thrilled to receive recognition from the Admissions Advertising Awards. Both Hermes and Columbia Ideas at Work provide a venue for alumni and other parties to explore the changing marketplace, through alumni and school news as well as faculty research and thought-leadership. It is very rewarding to see the Admissions Advertising Awards recognize how these publications reflect Columbia Business School's commitment to bridging theory and practice inside and outside the classroom."

Judges for the Admissions Advertising Awards consisted of admissions marketers, advertising creative directors, marketing and advertising professionals and the editorial board of Admissions Marketing Report. This year, the Admissions Advertising Awards received over two thousand entries from more than one thousand domestic and international colleges, universities and secondary schools.
