10 Year-Old Cancer Survivor Pays it Forward
Contact: Mike Manhardt, 772-321-3887

LOS ANGELES, Feb. 15, 2016 /Standard Newswire/ -- Nathaniel Offenheiser was 4 years old when he was diagnosed with atypical teratoid rhabdoid tumor (AT/RT), an extremely aggressive form of brain cancer. At the time of diagnosis, the cancer had spread and the doctors put Nathaniel's chances of survival at 50%. After one round of chemo, the tumor was reduced by 60-75% and by the second round the tumor appeared to be almost entirely gone. After 5 rounds of chemo and 6 weeks of radiation Nathaniel was declared cancer free.

It took the big hearts and minds of lots of caring people to help Nathaniel make it through his sickness. This past September, Nathaniel decided it was his turn to pay it forward so he teamed up with his sister Mariana and posted a YouTube video to raise awareness about a problem that is affecting children in other parts of the world.

"Now that I'm better from my illness, my sister and I want to help other children that are suffering. Not suffering from cancer, but from having only dirty water to drink."

"We want to care for them in the same way so many people cared for me."

You can view Nathaniel and Mariana's entire YouTube video here.

Nathaniel and his sister decided to support Wells of Life, a California non-profit committed to drilling wells and empowering Ugandan communities with the gift of water. To date they have raised $5,037. To learn more about the great work of Wells of Life, go to www.wellsoflife.org 501(c)(3) Tax ID: 45-1496631

Now YOU can help Nathaniel and Mariana change the lives of so many children.
