Contact: K. Drawi, 240-994-2476

ROCKVILLE, Md., April 27, 2016 /Standard Newswire/ -- Morocco's King Mohammed VI arrived on Monday April 25th in Manama on a fraternity and working visit to the kingdom of Bahrain.

Upon arrival at the Bahrain International Airport, King Mohammed VI was welcomed by King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa before heading to the "Sakhir" Palace in the southern governorate of Bahrain where talks took place between the two heads of State.

After the talks, the two sovereigns chaired the signing ceremony of three bilateral cooperation agreements.

The first agreement is a protocol amending the agreement of non-double taxation and the fight against tax evasion signed on April 7, 2000.

The second agreement is an implementation program of the cooperation agreement in the field of Endowments and Islamic Affairs 2016-2017-2018.

The third agreement is a cooperation protocol between the Higher Institute of the Judiciary of the Kingdom of Morocco and the Institute for Judicial and Legal Studies of the Kingdom of Bahrain.

After the signing ceremony, King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa hosted an official dinner in honor of King Mohammed VI and his accompanying delegation.

This visit takes place just a few days after the first Morocco-GCC summit that was held in Riyadh that sealed the strategic partnership binding Morocco to the member states of the Gulf Cooperation Council, mustering Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
