Advocacy Group for Victims Killed by Illegals Calls for National Boycott of San Francisco
Contact: Maria Espinoza, The Remembrance Project, 281-236-7580

HOUSTON, July 14, 2015 /Standard Newswire/ -- Maria Espinoza, National Coordinator of The Remembrance Project, an organization founded to remember and advocate for the victims killed by illegal aliens, called today for a national boycott of the city of San Francisco in the wake of the wanton murder of 32-year old Kathryn Steinle by a five-times deported illegal alien who was released from custody under San Francisco's "sanctuary city" policy. "Sanctuary cities" are cities that refuse to cooperate with U.S. immigration law enforcement agencies.

Espinoza said, "The confessed murderer, Juan Francisco Lopez-Sanchez, admitted that he went to San Francisco because he knew that San Francisco was a sanctuary city and he would not be pursued by immigration officials."

She continued, "In wanton disregard for public safety, Federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has released nearly 70,000 violent, criminal aliens onto our streets in the past two years. It is a safe bet that hundreds, if not thousands, of those dangerous criminals are wandering the streets of San Francisco secure in the knowledge that they are protected from ICE, thanks to the City's sanctuary policy."

"This is not the first time that innocent people have been murdered by illegal aliens taking advantage of San Francisco's protection racket," Espinoza added. "In 2008 Tony Bologna and his two teenage sons, Michael and Mathew, were murdered by Edwin Ramos, a member of the vicious MS-13 gang who, like Lopez-Sanchez, was also an illegal alien being protected from deportation by San Francisco's sanctuary cities policy," she said.

The Remembrance Project is appealing to people and organizations across the country to sign its "Boycott San Francisco" petition and to boycott the City until it revokes its sanctuary policy.
