CHARLOTTE, NC, Dec. 21 /Standard Newswire/ -- The Inspiration Networks has partnered with the humanitarian agency Convoy of Hope to supply food, water, and vital supplies to areas in the Philippines devastated by Typhoon Durian. Convoy of Hope personnel have also been on site in the Philippines since the week of December 11.

Blowing across the Albay Province southeast of Manila, the catastrophic typhoon left extensive damage in its wake, including mudslides that covered areas of Daraga City.

"The people of the Philippines are in a dire state," said David Cerullo, CEO of The Inspiration Networks. "The area has been without electricity or clean water for more than 14 days and is expected to remain in this state for some time. During this Christmas season when so much of our focus is on giving, we are honored to be able to provide vital supplies that will help bring relief to the people in this area. "

While on-site, an assessment team from Convoy of Hope has been training victims on the construction and usage of water filtration systems. The Inspiration Networks and Convoy of Hope have also sent a load of bio-sand filters, vinyl tarps, food, and bottled water to the area. Another load of tents, dried fruit, cleaning supplies, and buckets were shipped last Thursday.

Through an ongoing partnership, FedEx donated the first shipment of the most urgent relief supplies. Combined, the two shipments are valued at $100,000.
