LOUISVILLE, Ky., Feb. 5, 2016 /Standard Newswire/ -- A coalition of pro-life organizations, including Sisters for Life, Silent No More, Pro-Life Future, Created Equal and the Pro-Life Action League, will hold a rally at the newly opened Planned Parenthood facility at 842 S. 7th Street in Louisville this Saturday, February 6 at 10 a.m. The rally will highlight Planned Parenthood's continued placement of abortion facilities in the inner city or predominately minority communities and call upon the Commonwealth of Kentucky not to allow Planned Parenthood to perform abortions in Louisville.

On January 21, Planned Parenthood of Indiana and Kentucky (PPINK) began offering abortion services at their new facility at 842 S. 7th Street in Louisville. On January 27, Kentucky's newly elected Governor Matt Bevin announced that the facility had failed to provide proof, as required by state law, that women suffering complications from abortion procedures would be safely transferred to a local hospital for emergency care. Bevin ordered Planned Parenthood to stop performing abortions until these licensing obligations could be satisfied.

"Planned Parenthood claims to care about women's health," said Angela Minter of Sisters for Life, one of the rally organizers, "and yet they began performing abortions without measures in place to protect women when something goes wrong. The documents they filed with the state were wholly inadequate—outdated, unclear and far from compliant with the law. We applaud Governor Bevin for putting a halt to these illegal abortions, and we call on our local hospitals and ambulance services to refuse to collaborate with Planned Parenthood's abortion business."

"We stand united, raising our voices in opposition to Planned Parenthood, an organization known around the country for harvesting and selling aborted baby body parts and creatively interpreting the law," said Nate Robertson, a minister and pro-life activist spearheading Saturday's rally. "We already have one abortion facility in Louisville, and we don't need another—especially one that violates the laws of our commonwealth!"

Participating Organizations for Saturday's Rally include; Kentucky Right to Life, Indiana Right to Life, Family Foundation, Kentucky Pastors in Action Coalition, Commonwealth Policy Center, A Woman's Choice Pregnancy Resource Center, Little Way Pregnancy Center, and More Grace Ministries.

Over 500 Louisville area residents attended a rally at Planned Parenthood's former location on 2nd Street in August in response to the undercover videos revealing their involvement in harvesting and selling aborted babies' body parts. Hundreds are again expected to attend Saturday's rally at the new facility in response to this local abortion scandal.
