SALT LAKE CITY, Sept. 3, 2015 /Standard Newswire/ -- Today the World Congress of Families (WCF) announced the names of four new guest contributors that will be joining the aggregated list of WCF IX participants. This October, pro-family advocates and like-minded people from all around the world will gather at the ninth World Congress of Families in Salt Lake City, Utah.

"We are fewer than 60 days away from one of the most exciting and educational pro-family gatherings in the world," said Janice Shaw Crouse, executive director of WCF IX. "This latest group of contributors only adds to the excitement and the strength behind our cause to celebrate, encourage, and affirm the natural family as the only fundamental and sustainable unit of society."

The names released this week are the following:

Dr. Allan Carlson is a scholar and professor of history at Hillsdale College in Hillsdale, Michigan. After 17 years as president of the Howard Center for Family, Religion, and Society, Dr. Carlson recently decided to retire from his full-time position, but continues to serve as an important voice for family advocacy. Dr. Carlson has helped build the Howard Center into a leading institution of the pro-family cause.

Theresa Okafor is a director of the Foundation for African Cultural Heritage (FACH). FACH is a coalition of NGOs and organizations in Nigeria whose main objective is the shaping of public policy and government legislation through research and advocacy on personal freedom, value-driven health plans, family values, women's rights and empowerment, and child survival and protection from conception until natural death.

Dr. Mark Regnerus is an associate professor of sociology at the University of Texas at Austin, a research associate of the university's Population Research Center, and a senior fellow at the Austin Institute for the Study of Family and Culture. His areas of research are sexual behavior and family formation.
