CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va., March 11, 2011 /Standard Newswire/ -- Native missionaries throughout Latin American pacific coastal countries are heeding tsunami warnings and preparing to respond to potential disasters. The countries of Costa Rica, El Salvador and Guatemala are most endangered. However, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru could also be affected.

Few other countries in the Pacific basin are likely to be affected according to Steve Van Valkenburg, Director for Southeast Asia, although he is keeping a close eye on the Philippines and the Pacific islands.
