Wheaton College Deluded by Tony Blair Foundation
Contact: ChristianInvestigator.com, 608-469-7956

MADISON, Wisc., Dec. 6, 2010 /Standard Newswire/ -- Last week, the Tony Blair Foundation announced that Wheaton College has become the first Associate University of the Foundation in the United States.

According to the Foundation's website, the Foundation "aims to promote respect and understanding about the world's major religions and show how faith is a powerful force for the good of the modern world."

In March, the UK Guardian reported that Blair has financial deals with UI Energy Corporation of South Korea. UI Energy has extensive oil interests in the USA and Iraq. Blair tried to keep this quiet because of "market sensitivities."

UI Energy hires former top politicians. Blair denies that the help given to UI Energy was linked to Iraq, however, UI Energy struck a controversial deal with Kurdistan, to the displeasure of the Iraqi government. Critics accused Blair of getting rich off the contacts he made during the Iraq war.

Steve McConkey, ChristianInvestigator.com President, says "How can a top Christian university be duped by Tony Blair? It is not about trying to work with compromising rich globalists to tackle world problems, but to share the gospel of Jesus Christ clearly without compromise."

Wheaton College professor Noah Toly says the world problems "require dialogue and cooperation with diverse actors at the global scale, demanding a solid foundation in one's own faith commitments..."

However, if one has a solid Christian foundation, interfaith talks would boil down to one thing - the exclusive claims of the Christian faith. The Bible never talks about harmonizing the Christian faith with other world religions to tackle world problems like Rick Warren and Tony Blair promote.

For example, Islam teaches that Jesus Christ is not divine and He was not killed on the cross. Also, Islam denies the trinity.

McConkey continues, "We are to be good neighbors with all law-abiding people, however, we are not to use false religious goals to work out world problems. Politicians are elected to work out world problems, not to push interfaith dialogue to harmonize religions to conquer the world."
