Contact: Kathy Carlton Willis, 956-642-6319, WillisWay@aol.com; http://kcwcomm.blogspot.com/

DALLAS, Feb. 19 /Standard Newswire/ -- Good news on the horizon for the sports community. America is seeking a role model to believe in -- someone kind, generous, humble, fun, adventurous and loving. Thankfully, Peggy Nelson, widow of golf great, Byron Nelson, brings us a memoir of a man, who was not only a champion golf pro, but also a godly family man who lived life to the fullest. In her upcoming release, Life with Lord Byron, Peggy invites golf pros to chime in with fond memories of Lord Byron Nelson.

"One thing I remember that Byron told me was to be good to the game and give back. Byron gave strength in time of weakness, courage in time of fear, and love in time of doubt. To sum him up, Byron Nelson always looked for the best in others and always gave the best he had."

Peggy's stories about Lord Byron serves as a great reminder that integrity, clean living and genuine love all remain after a man is gone, reviving pride in the sports community. These anecdotes make her a perfect interview guest for February, the month of Love. From fun-loving moments between family members to quiet serene moments with colleagues on the course, audiences will be inspired as they learn about the character of golf's greatest gentleman. Peggy recounts a poignant memory:

"We were so delighted with each other and having such grand times right off that it won't surprise anyone to know we celebrated everything we could think of in those first few weeks. In fact on December 15, just one month after our wedding, I made a special dinner for us at home. As we sat at our beautiful dining room table and opened the 'anniversary' cards we had chosen for each other, Byron announced, 'I want to celebrate our anniversary every month, sweetheart, because I'll never have enough time with you.' What a dear man! And so we did all through the months and years that the Good Lord gave us."

A writer by profession, Peggy assisted Byron in the writing of his autobiography. She continues to help manage Byron Nelson's Fairway Ranch in Roanoke, Texas. She plays golf, enjoys flower gardening, tends her chickens, plays piano, attends Bible classes, volunteers at the new Byron Nelson High School, and serves as a greeter at her church.
